Zippo repairs a customer’s 53 yr old lighter through their warranty and pays customer back for shipping!

One of our key supervisors, Jeremy (if you have dealt with our claims centre, you may have had the pleasure of talking to our customer delight superstar) sent us over this photo. It is a service note from Zippo to a customer in response to a warranty claim on a lighter.

The customer’s 53-year-old lighter lost its fire (so to speak) and needed some maintenance. Zippo offers a lifetime extended warranty on this product, so the customer shipped it in for the repair. Not only did Zippo repair this 53 yr. old bad boy, it reimbursed the customer money for the stamps he used to ship it in!
